Sysmex America Awarded Seventh Veterans Affairs Contract

Mundelein, Illinois, September 12, 2007 – Sysmex America, Inc., a leading medical diagnostic instrument manufacturer and health information systems developer, today announced that it has entered into a five-year Cost Per Reportable Result (CPRR) Agreement with the Rocky Mountain Network, Veterans Integrated Services Network (VISN) 19.  Sysmex America will standardize hematology instrumentation, training, technical support, and service for seven U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs facilities located in Colorado, Utah, Montana, and Wyoming.  The award was based on both technical merit and competitive pricing.  Sysmex America also holds Veterans Affairs hematology standardization contracts with VISNs 2, 6, 10, 15 and 23 as well as stand alone within many other VISN networks.

VISN 19’s full service hospitals, community-based outpatient clinics and veterans’ centers offer veterans a range of primary, secondary and tertiary health care services including acute medical, surgical and psychiatric inpatient services as well as a full range of outpatient services.
