Mundelein, Illinois, November 15, 2006 – Sysmex America, Inc., a leading medical diagnostic instrument manufacturer and health information systems developer, today announced that it has entered into a five-year Cost Per Reportable Result (CPRR) Agreement with the VA Midwest Health Care Network, Veterans Integrated Services Network (VISN) 23. Sysmex America will standardize hematology instrumentation, training, technical support, and service for twelve U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs facilities. The award was based on both technical merit and competitive pricing.
Through its system of hospitals and clinics located in Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and North Dakota, VISN 23 offers veterans a range of health care services including inpatient primary, secondary and tertiary care in medial, surgical, neurological, rehabilitative, short and long term psychiatry modalities; and primary and specialized medical, surgical, and mental health ambulatory care.
