Sysmex America Initiates Site Work for Planned Expansion

Mundelein, Illinois, December 15, 2011 – Sysmex America, Inc., the wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary of Sysmex Corporation, Kobe, Japan, today announces the initiation of site work for the company’s planned expansion in 2012.  Sysmex America’s continued growth and need for expansion has resulted in the company’s lease of approximately 162,000 square feet of additional space in Lincolnshire, Illinois and 147,000 square feet in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.  In 2012, Sysmex America will begin to occupy the new space while retaining its current offices and reagent manufacturing plant in Mundelein, Illinois.  Sysmex America’s Mundelein, Illinois office currently employs approximately 700 people. Sysmex is a global leader in medical diagnostic testing equipment and information systems technology and services hospitals and healthcare networks, reference laboratories and physicians offices worldwide.

The multi-purpose industrial building located in Buffalo Grove, will begin operations in Q1 2012. It will include a repair depot, a training production studio and other functions. Sysmex will begin occupying its Lincolnshire location in summer 2012.  Both locations require interior construction and interior design work prior to occupancy.
 
 
Private entities involved in Sysmex America’s expansion project include Colliers International, a global real estate services company; CB Richard Ellis, broker; Lincolnshire Bridge, LLC, Aptakisic Creek Corporate Park, LLC, and Bridge Development Partners, properties’ landlords; and Takenaka Corporation, an architectural, construction and design firm.
