Mundelein, Illinois - November 06, 2008 – Sysmex America, Inc. (SAI), a leading medical diagnostic instrument manufacturer and information systems developer, today announced the launch of e-Verify™, the newest enhancement of Sysmex Network Communications System™ (SNCS™) said John Kershaw, President, Sysmex America, Inc.  e-Verify enables Sysmex instrument operators to schedule, manage and control bi-annual Calibration Verification events at the convenience of the laboratory technologist.  SNCS is a remote diagnostics management system that continuously collects and monitors system performance data from the installed instrument base, linking Sysmex analyzers into the Sysmex Service and Support Network.

e-Verify™ places the instrument operator in control of managing and scheduling Calibration Verification events to fit laboratory workflow and throughput.  It also assists in compliance with laboratory accrediting agencies, providing full documentation of the process for laboratory records and instrument operator peace-of-mind.  Sysmex notifies the laboratory well in advance of the event, schedules a convenient appointment and sends along the materials and reminders for the event(s).  On the day of an event, the analyzer is in use for approximately 20 minutes for Calibration Verification, thus minimizing downtime and maximizing labor utilization.  This free service is available to all Sysmex customers where SNCS is installed and operational.

About SNCS
SNCS is powered by communications technology developed by Questra Corporation which is used by many other world-class medical equipment suppliers such as Philips, Kodak, and GE Healthcare among others.  The SNCS Enterprise Server is a secure infrastructure which supports the laboratory’s HIPAA compliance while facilitating submission of QC, remote diagnostics and now Calibration Verification.   Key SNCS features include pro-active system functions’ monitoring alerting Sysmex to potential future issues, real-time monitoring allowing technical review for scheduled service visits, customer-controlled remote access for streamlined, on-line troubleshooting and secure access guaranteeing HIPAA compliance and customer confidence.

Since SNCS’ October 2006 introduction, Sysmex has activated the SNCS “real-time” remote monitoring system for more than 1,000 Sysmex customers providing them an even greater degree of instrument reliability and uptime, said Kershaw.
