Emotional Intelligence (EQ), a different way of being smart, is key to high performance. Research shows a high EQ (not IQ) helps people influence others, become more innovative, and improve job performance. It is the critical factor that sets star performers apart from the rest. During this presentation the speaker will explore the significance of EQ and how it can positively impact a lab’s performance level.

Objectives:

  • Explain the importance of an accurate self-assessment and confidence in knowing and accepting your strengths and limitations.
  • Discuss how empathy and reading cues may improve how people respond to situations.
  • Recognize how flexing your communication can positively influence and persuade others.
