Clinical Adoption of the Advanced Hematology Parameters – A Best Practice Roadmap

This presentation will explore how one institution was able to make effective use of the Advanced Hematology Parameters that include Immature Granulocytes (IG), Reticulocyte Hemoglobin (RET-He), and Immature Platelet Fraction (IPF). The discussion will cover several key points around implementation and inclusion of these parameters in clinical practice, order sets, and clinical protocols. A few case studies will be reviewed and the role of the advanced parameters in the current and future environment will be discussed.

  • Describe the importance of accurate and timely reporting of the hematologic parameters in effective patient blood management
  • Illustrate the application of the advanced clinical parameters in patient case studies
  • Share strategies to enhance clinical adoption of the hematology parameters by key stakeholders
