Sysmex America Recognized with Brandon Hall Group Bronze Award for Leadership Development
Chicago – August 27, 2025 – Sysmex America, Inc., a leading diagnostic solutions company offering hematology, hemostasis, urinalysis, flow cytometry and informatic solutions, has been recognized with a Brandon Hall Group™ Bronze award for excellence in the Best Development Program for Frontline Leaders category for the Considering the Shift Program offered through Sysmex University. The 2025 Brandon Hall Group™ HCM Excellence Awards® recognize best practices for initiatives in Learning and Development, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Sales Performance, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and the Future of Work.
Considering the Shift is an interactive and immersive virtual program designed to support Sysmex associates who are exploring the transition from individual contributor to people manager. Recognizing the critical role managers play in driving teams and organizational success, the program helps participants assess their readiness for leadership and understand the mindset, skills, and expectations required to lead others effectively.
The program was built from the ground up in close collaboration with DX Learning, who served as partners in every step of the design process. Their innovative approach, flexibility, and deep leadership development expertise allowed Sysmex America to co-create a highly customized experience tailored to the unique needs of its workforce.
Through experiential learning, real-world application, and self-reflection, participants gain insight into the core responsibilities of people management. Key focus areas include developing self-awareness, navigating leadership biases, fostering psychological safety, and learning how to communicate and delegate effectively. Ultimately, the program helps associates make informed career decisions while preparing them to lead with intention and impact.
“This award celebrates the innovation and impact of our talent development team and the Considering the Shift Program, which supports our associates in exploring whether leadership is the right path,” said Dan Zortman, CEO of Sysmex America. “This program reflects our passion for building a strong, people-first culture and reinforces our commitment to helping leaders grow in ways that align with their strengths, aspirations, and our business needs.”
“Considering the Shift empowers emerging people leaders to step into their new roles with confidence, clarity, and purpose, said Karen Hershberger, vice president of human resources and revenue services, Sysmex America. “Thank you to our talent development team for their innovation and hard work on this program.”
