Normal, abnormal and suppressed results for the XW-100
Printouts
A results printout is produced by the instrument when testing is fully completed. For results that are outside of the reference ranges programmed on the XW-100, various flags or messages may be generated:
- The XW-100 may prompt the user to repeat testing before printing results. This is intended to verify the initial results.
- The numeric results display with “High” or “Low” flag.
- Some results may be suppressed; this will display as “****”.
- Some results may be suppressed (“****”) and an “ALERT L” flag will be generated
- Numeric results will display with an “ALERT H” flag
Blood parameters can be complicated to measure. The complexity of the sample and underlying patient conditions may sometimes cause the results to be suppressed in order to prevent inaccurate reporting.
