Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the nature of the relationship, and applicable requirements. We then delete, destroy, de-identify, or anonymize information as required or permitted by law.
10. International and Cross-Border Processing
Sysmex and its service providers may process personal information in the United States, Canada, Japan, and other jurisdictions where Sysmex or its providers operate. Information processed outside your province, state, or country may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, or national-security authorities in accordance with applicable law. We use contractual, organizational, and other recognized safeguards where required.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Services are intended for business and adult users and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without legally required consent. Where Quebec law applies, we do not knowingly collect personal information from a minor under 14 without consent of the person having parental authority or the tutor, unless permitted by law. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

The Services may link to websites, platforms, or services that Sysmex does not control. This Policy does not govern those third parties. Review their privacy notices before providing information.
13. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights to confirm processing; access, correct, or delete personal information; obtain a portable copy; and opt out of sale, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. You may also have a right to appeal a denied request. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
California residents may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected; sources; business or commercial purposes; categories of recipients; and sales or sharing, if any. California residents may also request correction or deletion and may limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable. Sysmex does not sell personal information for money. Some advertising disclosures may constitute “sharing” under California law.
To submit a request, email privacy-center@sysmex.com, call +1 (833) 407-1792, or use the privacy-choice mechanism made available on the applicable Service. We will verify requests as required. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted. If an appeal right applies, instructions will be provided with the response.
14. Canada Privacy Rights and Practices
If Canadian privacy law applies, Sysmex is accountable for personal information under its control and identifies the purposes for collection, use, and disclosure at or before collection. We seek meaningful consent in a form appropriate to the sensitivity of the information and the reasonable expectations of the individual, except where law permits processing without consent.
You may request access to personal information we hold about you and request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information, subject to legal exceptions. You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. You may also ask questions or challenge our compliance by contacting the Privacy Officer. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the applicable provincial privacy regulator.
For Quebec residents, the Privacy Officer is the person responsible for the protection of personal information. Where a technology used by a Service includes functions that identify, locate, or profile an individual, Sysmex will provide required notice and any required means to activate or deactivate those functions. Where Sysmex makes a decision based exclusively on automated processing that produces effects concerning an individual, Sysmex will provide the information and rights required by applicable Quebec law. Requests to access, rectify, or obtain a computerized copy may be submitted to the Privacy Officer.
Personal information may be communicated outside Quebec or Canada as described in Section 10. Any required privacy impact assessment or contractual safeguard will be used before such communication.
