Water Quality Testing
Quantifying bacterial counts in water is important to control the microbial ecology of water samples. For routine quality control of water samples, an easy-to-use and cost-effective test system to enumerate bacteria in many types of water-based samples is a good alternative to conventional plate counts. In many cases, bacterial cultivation only detects up to 1% of waterborne bacteria.
Water samples that are tested for bacterial counts include ground water, tap water, spring or surface water; and water in industrial applications such as sewage water, water for cleaning/sanitation/cooling processes, or water for distribution and desalination.
