Hematology Leader Participates in Global Movement to End Childhood Poverty

Lincolnshire, Ill. (May 26, 2016) Sysmex America, Inc., a leading provider of automated diagnostic testing equipment and information systems technology, is pleased to announce its support of Red Nose Day on May 26, 2016. More than 400 associates at the Lincolnshire and Mundelein locations plan to wear red noses, donate funds and watch a television special to air on NBC at 8 p.m. CST to support the Comic Relief-sponsored campaign to end childhood poverty.

The company’s participation in Red Nose Day was led by an employee-driven committee called “Sysmex Cares,” which supports charitable organizations locally and nationally. In the past year alone, the Sysmex Cares committee has led toy drives, book drives, food drives, numerous fundraisers and volunteered to rehab houses with Habitat for Humanity. The committee will donate an additional $600 to the campaign, in addition to purchasing the 400 red noses.

“Corporate social responsibility is important to us as an organization,” said Karen Stoneman, vice president, Human Resources, Sysmex America, “Participating in Red Nose Day is just one of the many ways that we are committed to giving back, not only to our local communities, but on a global level.”

In March of this year, Sysmex was named to the “Companies that Care” Honor Roll for creating a work environment founded on dignity, respect, and community volunteer work.
